A group pushing ballot questions aimed at increasing the minimum wage and requiring paid leave say it will drop the questions if Gov. Charlie Baker signs a bill that would essentially accomplish those goals.
The Raise Up Massachusetts coalition said Tuesday it's won the battle to gradually increase the minimum wage in Massachusetts to $15 an hour and create a strong paid family and medical leave program for workers to care for themselves or a family member after a medical emergency or the birth or adoption of a new child.
Those elements are included in a so-called "grand bargain" hammered out between the Republican governor, Democratic legislative leaders and groups pushing ballot questions.
The deal is also meant to keep a question lowering the state sales tax off the ballot.
