Shelter-in-place ends after police response in Nashua

Police say there is no longer a danger to the public after asking residents to shelter in place Tuesday afternoon in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Ledge Street was shut down between 1st Street and 8th Street. The Nashua Police Department noted "a large police presence in the area," but did not give any further details about what was happening.

Residents were asked to shelter in place, while others were instructed to avoid the area.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., police said the incident had been resolved.

No further information was immediately available.
