Two 15-year-old boys were arrested in a police chase and car crash that briefly shut down part of Interstate 93 in Boston Thursday morning, police said.
They were in a stolen BMW that was initially spotted in Milton and didn't stop for a trooper, according to Massachusetts State Police. Instead, the vehicle drove onto I-93 north.

On the highway, the BMW crashed into a pickup truck, sending that truck into a state police cruiser and itself veering into a guardrail, officials said.
The pickup driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation; no other injuries were reported.

The two teenagers, who are not being identified as they are underage, face delinquency charges involving a stolen vehicle and driving negligently and without a license.
The crash was reported shortly before 10 a.m. on I-93 north, and all lanes appeared to be shut down.
Aerial footage from over the scene showed a black pickup truck on the back of a tow truck and a black car that appeared to have crashed into the guardrail. Numerous state police cruisers were also on scene.

State police said in an email at 10:21 a.m. that traffic was being diverted at Exit 11 and the Neponset on ramp for about 20 minutes.
Massachusetts State Police initially said troopers were involved in a motor vehicle pursuit around 9 a.m. that began on I-93 south near Dorchester Avenue in Boston. They said the pursuit came to an end on I-93 north at Exit 13A.
