A driver died and another was seriously hurt when two pickup trucks crashed on Interstate 95 south in Needham, Massachusetts, during Tuesday morning's commute, police said.
The crash on I-95 south at Exit 33 caused major delays on both sides of the highway.

One truck was believed to have spun out of control amid rainy conditions just before 4:40 a.m., according to Massachusetts State Police. While it was perpendicular to traffic, the other truck slammed into it.
The driver of the broadsided truck was determined to be dead at the scene, according to police. The other driver, a 54-year-old from Nashua, New Hampshire, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver who died was identified Wednesday as Dylan Chaves, a 31-year-old from Fiskdale.
Massachusetts Department of Transportation billboards said the three left lanes of the highway were closed. Significant delays were reported on I-95 south and also on the northbound side of the highway.
State police said in a social media post around 9 a.m. that they were just clearing the scene. Additional details are expected to be released later Tuesday morning.
NBC10 Boston's Sue O'Connell said the crash could delay the start of the second day of testimony in the high-profile Karen Read murder trial. Testimony got underway shortly before 9:30 a.m., about a half hour after it was scheduled to start.
