5 Hurt in Amtrak Work Vehicle Incident Near Boston MBTA Station

Five Amtrak employees were hurt when two of the train company's vehicles collided near an MBTA Commuter Rail Station in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood Friday, according to the MBTA.

The employees are expected to recover, an MBTA representative said in a statement. The Amtrak truck and track truck were substantially damaged after their collision near Readville Station.

Boston EMS confirmed that five people were taken to a hospital.

Aerial footage showed workers at the scene surrounding what appeared to be an Amtrak work train.
