Three people, including 2 teens, injured in Methuen shooting

Police believe one suspect remains at large after a shooting on Boston Street

Three people were injured in a shooting in Methuen, Massachusetts, early Monday morning and police say two of the people involved are juveniles.

Officers first responded to reports of a shooting on Boston Street around 1 a.m., according to Methuen Police Chief Scott McNamara. When they arrived they found two people with gunshot wounds - a man and a 17-year-old. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not released.

A second teen, 16, believed involved went to the hospital on his own for treatment. He was also shot, according to police.

A Massachusetts State Police K-9 and Methuen Police K-9 were called in to assist. Police say investigators found two guns tied to the incident - one on Swan Street, and a second that was recovered when police executed a search warrant at a home on Boston Street.

Police believe one suspect is still at large. The shooting is considered an isolated incident and investigators say there is no danger to the public.
