A bomb threat was called in at a Medford, Massachusetts, check cashing business Wednesday morning, prompting businesses nearby to be evacuated, but no threat was found, police said.
The threat was called in at 8:50 a.m. at the business on Mystic Avenue, Medford police said. An employee said someone had told them to "put money in a bag or face a bomb threat," according to police.

A state police bomb squad swept the building but found no threats, police said.
Footage from the scene showed that Mystic Avenue, which was closed for a block during the investigation, had re-opened.

It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was arrested in the incident. Police said the investigation was continuing.
The area is near an exit to Interstate 93 south.
