A man was killed and three other people hurt in a multi-car crash in Taunton, Massachusetts, on Tuesday.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office confirmed it was investigating the crash, which happened around 6:10 p.m. on Somerset Avenue. The crash involved three cars -- a Dodge Challenger, a Toyota Camry and a Dodge Ram pickup.

The driver of the Challenger, a man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead Thursday, prosecutors said in an update Friday, identifying him as 20-year-old Middleborough resident Richard Blanchette.
The driver of the Camry, a woman suffered serious injuries and was in critical, but stable, condition. A passenger in the Challenger was also taken to the hospital for treatment, as was the driver of the Dodge Ram, who suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and the Taunton Police Department.
