Three people were found dead inside an apartment in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Saturday in what appears to be a murder-suicide, officials say.
According to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, a ma n living at a Warren Street apartment called 911 around 6:39 a.m. Saturday and told dispatchers that he had shot his wife and child. He also said he was in possession of guns.

Lowell police immediately responded to the home and found the bodies of a woman and a girl. The man who called police was also found dead inside from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officials are not releasing their identities at this time. The chief medical examiner will determine their cause and manner of death.
