Multiple people allegedly fired shots into a rideshare vehicle when it was picking up three passengers Monday morning.
An Uber driver was shot at while picking up passengers in Salem, Massachusetts, on Monday morning.
Salem police said three men were getting into an Uber around 7 a.m. Monday on Albion Street when three other men came up on foot and started shooting. At least one bullet hit the Uber.

No one was injured, and the three shooters fled on foot.
"They come and get in my car, because they called Uber and they were going to Boston, and when they come in, they opened up my first door. The people were shooting," said Dionis Ribas, the Uber driver.

He said one bullet went right through the windshield of his car.
"Inside my car I have another in my seat. Nobody hit, despite quite a few shots fired. It was really luck that saved everybody."
Uber issued a statement Monday, saying, "We cannot imagine how frightening this experience must have been. We are working to get in touch with the driver to check in with them, and have reached out to police."
A neighbor, Joaquin Guillén, shared video showing what appeared to be the moment the bullets hit the SUV.
"I was scared," Guillén said. "It just continued -- dot, dot, dot, dot, dot. I don't know how many, but it was a lot."
Police said no arrests have been made, and they are actively searching for the shooters. They said they believe the shooting was targeted and there is no threat to the general public.
