Just minutes later, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation reported a rollover crash on Interstate 95 south in Peabody. The three left lanes were shut down, and motorists were advised to expect delays.

Also on I-95 in Peabody, a car rolled over, nearly hitting an ambulance. Dashcam video shows the close call.

An ambulance transporting a patient on Interstate 95 in Peabody was nearly hit as another vehicle rolled over Tuesday.

Downed power lines on Route 28 in Falmouth led to the road being closed in both directions between Route 151 and Brick Kiln Road.

A crash sent a driver to the hospital with serious injuries at about 9:04 a.m. on Route 2 eastbound in Westminster, police said. A 2004 Toyota Camry rear-ended a private dump trump working as a snow plow, sending the car's driver, a 20-year-old man from Gardner, to a local hospital; he was later flown to UMass Memorial in Worcester.

The car's speed and road conditions are believed to have contributed to the crash, but investigators were looking into what happened.

Earlier in the day, a vehicle rolled over on I-95 south in Foxborough, causing a lane to shut down, according to MassDOT.

The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. on I-95 southbound at Exit 12, the agency wrote on social media.

While there was no immediate word on injuries, MassDOT said there was an entrapment and that the right lane was closed.

The crash scene was cleared shortly before 11 a.m.

As of 12 p.m., MassDOT remained in snow and ice resopnse, with over 2,100 pieces of equipment patrolling, spreading and plowing. The speed limit on the Massachusetts Turnpike remains reduced to 40 mph from Monson to Warren.
