Police say they have retrieved some stolen items and identified a woman caught on camera taking them from a porch.

A woman was caught on camera struggling to steal packages from a home this week in Webster, Massachusetts.

The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Harris Street, Webster police said. They shared video of the packages being taken, with the robber seen repeatedly dropping the packages.

Police said in a Facebook post Thursday evening that the woman seen on video was identified and is cooperating. Some of the stolen property has been recovered, they added.

Authorities previously said the woman may have taken other packages from other homes on Harris and Elms streets.

Police shared video of the packages being taken, with the robber seen repeatedly dropping the packages.

One woman said the packages that were taken were Christmas gifts for her children.

"I don't know what I'm going to do, it's 10 days before Christmas," said the woman who did not want to be identified.

"We have packages stolen, one or two, but to have it in this amount of volume from one person, it's not common for us," said Webster Police Chief Michael Shaw.

Earlier, commenters on the Webster police Facebook page were identifying a woman as the person in the video, but police indicated the person they were naming wasn't the person stealing packages.
