A car crashed off an embankment at a shopping plaza in Westford, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, and its driver was hospitalized.
It wasn't immediately clear what caused the crash, near a Market Basket at the Cornerstone Square shopping plaza. Westford police say it appears to be a freak accident, and no arrests are expected.

The driver, who has not been identified, was brought to an area hospital. Police did not give any information about the person's condition.
Westford police said the crash, off Littleton Road, was reported about 12:14 p.m.

Police could be seen removing items from the car, including what looks like a machete, an ax an a hammer. A few hours later, the vehicle was towed away.
