A casino mogul, the owner of the New England Patriots, and the CEO of Fidelity Investments are among the most wealthy people in Massachusetts, according to a list released this week.

AffluenceIQ, a database of high net-worth individuals run by Massinvestor, released its annual list of the "50 Richest People in Massachusetts" on Wednesday.

Topping the list is 84-year-old Sheldon Adelson, a Boston native who still owns a $5 million residence in Newton. Adelson's net worth is $35.4 billion, according to AffluenceIQ.

Next up at No. 2 is Abigail Johnson, the CEO of Fidelity Investments, with a net worth of $16 billion. She's followed by her father, Fidelity Chairman Edward Johnson III, at $8 billion. Rounding out the top five are financier John Grayken at $6.5 billion and Patriots owner Robert Kraft at $6.2 billion.

New Balance chairman James Davis at No. 6, with a net worth of $4.9 billion.

Boston Red Sox and Boston Globe owner John Henry at No. 11, with a net worth of $2.5 billion.

Auto magnate Herb Chambers at No. 15, with a net worth of $1.7 billion.

Wayfair co-chairman and CEO Niraj Shah at No. 22, with a net worth of $1.25 billion.

Real estate developer Stephen Karp at No. 24, with a net worth of $1.2 billion.

EMC co-founder and former Pittsburgh Penguins owner Roger Marino at No. 25, with a net worth of $1.2 billion.

Businesswoman and philanthropist Teresa Heinz, wife of former Secretary of State John Kerry, at No. 28, with a net worth of $1.2 billion.

Auto CEO Ernie Boch Jr. at No. 30, with a net worth of $1.1 billion.

Former Reebok CEO Paul Fireman at No. 34, with a net worth of $1 billion.

Samuel Adams founder James Koch at No. 38, with a net worth of $840 million.

Retired General Electric CEO Jack Welch at No. 41, with a net worth of $720 million.
