King Pablo is due to face the charge Monday in Chelsea District Court, prosecutors said. It wasn't immediately clear whether he had an attorney who could speak to the charge.
Prosecutors didn't share what they suspect led to Janvier Pablo's shooting, noting only that they plan to release more details in court on Monday.

An NBC10 Boston camera caught a man being walked out of an Everett apartment complex in handcuffs by officers from the Chelsea, Everett and state police departments.
"It's kind of scary. We got a killer in the apartment," said a man who lives there.

The shooting occurred around 8:45 a.m. in the area of Eastern Avenue and Marginal Street, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden. Janvier Pablo was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Hayden's office said the shooter ran from the scene and fled in a car. They initially said a man was detained by police and was being interviewed in connection with the shooting. There was no apparent threat to the public.
“Shootings and homicides tear at the very fabric of our community so we’re always keenly focused on doing what we can to bring perpetrators to justice," Hayden told reporters at the scene Friday.
There were several witnesses in the area, including a police officer who found the woman on the street soon after the shooting, according to Hayden's office.
The immediate area of the shooting was closed to through traffic for a time Friday, and detours were put in place.
