M & M BBQ to Open Inside Dorchester Brewing Company As Part of Brewery's Expansion

A few months ago, it was learned that a brewery just south of downtown Boston had some big plans in the works, including a rooftop greenhouse and roofdeck, and a restaurant being added to the space. Now we have learned that the restaurant coming to the facility will be run by the person behind a legendary food truck.

According to an article from Boston Magazine, Geo Lambert is going to be opening M & M BBQ inside Dorchester Brewing Company, with the plan being to have a takeout window next to the taproom where customers can order their food and bring it to the taproom, upstairs to the rooftop beer garden/greenhouse, or anywhere else within the Mass. Ave. space. Lambert is part of the family that first opened the M & M Ribs food truck back in 1982, which originally offered smoked chicken and pork ribs at locations in Roxbury in Dorchester. The name eventually changed to M & M BBQ and has recently been known for its pop-up events (including pop-ups at the brewery), catering business, and food truck, the latter of which was recently taken off the streets so that they could focus on events and catering.

Boston Magazine says that once it opens (possibly in October), M & M BBQ will offer such items as chicken, ribs, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, burgers, grilled sausages, soft pretzels, barbecue bowls, and "Dorchester Dumpster Fries" with smoked cheese sauce, BBQ sauce, scallions, and chicken or pulled pork.

The address for Dorchester Brewing Company (and the upcoming M & M BBQ) is 1250 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA, 02125. The website for the brewery can be found at https://www.dorchesterbrewing.com/ while the website for the BBQ business is at https://mandmribs.com/
