The Boston Celtics' opponent for the first game of the 2020-21 NBA season has been revealed.
The league announced Wednesday several games over the first few days of the upcoming regular season, which begins Dec. 22.

The Celtics will open Dec. 23 against two-time reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Bucks and Celtics have played early in the regular season several times in recent years. For example, Boston beat Milwaukee in its second home game of the 2019-20 campaign.

These teams also have met in the playoffs twice over the last three seasons. The C's eliminated the Bucks in a seven-game first-round series in 2018, and Milwaukee defeated Boston in a five-game conference semifinals matchup in 2019.

The league also announced its Christmas Day schedule featuring five exciting matchups, including the Celtics hosting Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets at 5 p.m. ET.
The full schedule for the first half of the 2020-21 season will be unveiled Friday, Dec. 4.
